What Causes Nasal Congestion And Involuntary Movement Of Lips?

i have had a runny nose only on left side for a little bit, then i noticed my lips feel funny when i press them together, like they were uneven. then i later looked into mirror bc i felt funny when i talked so i wanted to see what it looked like. i smiled and noticed only one side of mouth moved, other side just a tad. same with eyebrow. my eye will close but not completely.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain runny nose and congestion in one nostril can be due to sinus infection and you need to get evaluated by an Otolaryngologist and an x ray of sinuses and nasal endoscopy can help..
In case of sinusitis antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, decongestant, anti allergics, saline nasal irrigation and steam inhalation can be advised..

The other part of your question is that awkward feeling of lips along with twitching and movement on only one side of lips and also partial closing of eye and immobility of eyebrow..
All these symptoms are clearly indicative towards Facial Nerve Palsy or Bell's Palsy which can occur due to disprders related to facial nerve that is a seventh cranial nerve and supplies muscles of face..
Any discrepancy in its function like trauma, viral infection, compression by any artery or tumour can cause paralysis of muscles on affected side..
I would suggest you to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get an MRI SCAN and Blood test done to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat accordingly..
Initially Steroids and vitamin B complex can be advised..
In case if eye does nt close using eye pads can be applied to protect the eye..
Artificial tear drops can also be advised in case if eye dries..
In case of infection antiviral medication can be advised..
Physiotherapy to strengthen the muscles is also advisable..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
