What Causes Nasal Congestion And Tiredness In Spite Of Giving Sinarest Drops?

Hello doctor,. My baby is 9 months 2 weeks old and is suffering with congestion. She is having disturbed sleep for many days. Have tried steam and eucalyptus oil and also sinarest drops when she has runny nose. Nothing seems to be working. Please suggest any medicine to clear her congestion. Thank you.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child is having symptoms of nasal congestion and tiredness in spite of giving Sinarest drops which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and common cold. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get blood test done. You should get nasal sinus x-ray and routine blood tests done. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. You should Chew a Vitamin C pellet. Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take diet rich in vitamin B12.
