Hello I hv given otrivin 0.1 adult nasal spray to my 5 years old daughter...she weighs 25 kgs..n dose is one spray each nostril..though she hs slept as its 12.30..earlier she couldnt sleep coz of congestion...i m checking her breathing also..wat can i do..
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of nasal congestion despite giving Otrivinnasal spray which is because of persistence of viral infection/ upper respiratory infection. It is due to poor and compromised immunity of body as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles three times daily. Taking decongestant nasal spray can also be relieving. Drink lukewarm water on daily basis. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist/ pediatrician once and get it examined. Doctor may order blood tests and nasal swab test to detect level of infection and can start treatment according;y. Do take nasal saline rinses. Avoid cold carbonated beverages and apply mist humidifiers in room.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
