What Causes Nasal Pain And Headache After Using Nasal Strips To Avoid Snoring?

Started with flu symptoms, weakness, achy muscles, even my eye muscles, it seemed if I used a muscle it got sore. I took Extract - Hot Lemon Relief (extra strenght) [Exp Jan15] and when when I went to bed my wife woke me up saying I was snoring. Since I didn t want to be woken up every 10 minutes I used and old nasal strip that was on the night stand. Since then the pain behind the bone of my nose has only gotten worse. All the other symptoms have gone after two days, but I have a general numb pulsing and when I stand and walk, I don t know which triggers it really, the pain in my head radiates to an almost debilitating extent. When I sit down it gets better. I did some research on standing and pain and came up with Hydrocephalus but that reads that it is the walking, which fits. I can breath just fine, I think it was a one day flu, but any movement causes me to feel my upper nose a bit, and walking causes enough pain to make me stop and yell out my pain.

Hi and welcome to HCM,
From your description of your ailment, you ahve something called as Upper respiratory tract infection [URTI]. I feel you also have sinusitis, which give rise to the the type of pain you are describing. Typically this will complete its course of a week to 10 days and subside. You can take T. Panadol along with some decongestants. Steam inhalation will also help.
An X ray of the skull will confirm the diagnosis of sinusitis.
All the best!!!
