I have cirrhosis of the liver. This past April I was hospitalized when I vomited what I thought was a large amount of blood and what appeared to me to be blood clots. Since then I have had several endoscopies which have not indicated any further bleeding varices. I had an endoscopy on January 25, 2018. When my doctor came in to start the procedure and touched and pressed on the area above my tummy. I winced in pain and he apologized and asked me if he had ever drained any fluid from me. He had not. Several months ago I, on my own, chose to stop taking my spironolactone because I was also taking oxybutynin. I was urinating so often and having bathroom accidents several times a day. I was also having bowel accidents very often. I thought the oxybutynin was causing my severe dry mouth. I also felt as though it was silly to take the spironolactone to make me urinate and the oxybutynin to make me stop, which didn t work. I also stopped taking the oxybutynin. On January 22,2018 I had a procedure done by a urologist which he called dialating my uretha. Worked good for a few weeks. The last few weeks though I have felt nauseated. My area above my stomach and my stomach seem to be swollen or bloated and my legs and ankles are swollen. I have started taking a half dose (25mg) of my spiranalactone two times a day. I am urinating every hour, even thru the night, often having bathroom accidents. I am very tired. I don t feel well. My legs also feel week. Should I try to see my gastroenterologist as soon as he can see me or should I wait to see my family doctor (Appt. on March 6,2018)? Im sorry I wasted your time and mine. I don t have any idea what made me think that you were out there to help me without charging a fee. It must be from the brain trauma I received in an automobile accident in October 2015.
