What Causes Nausea Along With Rapid Heart Rate And Weakness In Legs?

I just woke up feeling nauseous after being asleep 2 hrs dead tired. I felt my heart racing and felt weak in my legs and thought I was about to throw up and die , a really scary feeling almost called 911. I was also feeling extremely hungry so I grabbed a bowl of healthy cereal and ever downed some oatmeal cookies even though feeling like this. Its as if my body wanted me to eat but I had a big meal several hours earlier. I was hungry earlier in the day and put it off for another hour or two then ate pretty well. I was feeling slightly faint. Before the hour or two gap I had a big cup of starbuck coffee. I was low on sleep and had just got out of work , Im also constantly stressed from work and other life issues and am always on the go. I feel like i never rest. So my question is did i have an anxiety attack while asleep or low blood sugar. I eat pretty healthy and am a gym rat. Thank you for your help God Bless

Hi,

There could be a number of potential causes for the symptoms you describe, including anxiety, low blood sugar, dehydration, or a medical condition such as anemia, thyroid disorder, or heart problem.

It's possible that you experienced an anxiety attack while sleeping, especially given the stress and fatigue you mentioned. Anxiety can cause a range of physical symptoms, including nausea, rapid heart rate, weakness, and a feeling of impending doom or panic.

Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) is another potential cause of these symptoms, especially if you had a large gap between meals and consumed caffeine without food. This can cause your blood sugar levels to drop, leading to symptoms such as weakness, nausea, and a rapid heart rate.

Dehydration can also cause symptoms such as weakness and dizziness, and can be exacerbated by low blood sugar or caffeine intake.

It's important to speak with a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms, especially if they persist or worsen. In the meantime, it's a good idea to focus on staying hydrated, eating regular meals and snacks, and managing stress through relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation. If you experience these symptoms again, it's important to seek medical attention right away to rule out any serious conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

It is possible that you experienced an anxiety attack or panic attack while asleep, especially if you have been feeling stressed and overwhelmed. The rapid heart rate, weakness in the legs, and feeling like you are about to die are common symptoms of a panic attack.

Low blood sugar could also be a possibility, especially if you ate a big meal several hours before and then had a large gap before eating again. It is important to eat regularly and avoid prolonged periods without food to maintain stable blood sugar levels.

However, it is also important to rule out any underlying medical conditions that could be causing these symptoms, such as heart problems or digestive issues. If you continue to experience these symptoms or they worsen, I recommended you consult a healthcare professional and determine the underlying cause for appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
