What Causes Nausea And Abdominal Bloating After Having Food?

After eating a meal, I feel nauseous, my stomach feels queasy and bloated and my head also starts hurting. The symptoms are very similar to food poisoning . Once I lie down I feel better. These symptoms happen always after I eat. What are the possible causes for this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking
Your symptoms suggest acidity...the inner lining of stomach getting sore with spicy, oily food to cause the symptoms.( acid dyspepsia)
Avoiding excessive eating, oily or spicy food &forming habit of eating frequent small servings ,avoiding harmful food ,tea, coffeewould be helpful.Dinking cold milk would relieve the discomfort.
Over the counter PPI medicine like Ranitidine would add to the relief.
Consult gastroenterologist if nor relieved completely.
Thanks.
