Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having frequent bouts of nausea throughout the day along with my stomach feeling bloated. This has been going on for over 2 weeks. I burp a lot. I ve never experienced anything like. I am a 54 yr old man in good physical health. About 4 mos ago I did undergo a full knee replacement.
There can be an obstruction in the upper gastrointestinal tract which is causing you all these symptoms. Go to near doctor to get examined your abdomen to know if there is tenderness or swelling present.
If there is a subacute obstruction there could be little edema of the intestine due to infection which can be treated with antibiotics or steroid depending on the etiology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
