What Causes Nausea And Body Chills After Withdrawing From Symbicort?

Took Symbicort for over six years, two puffs,. once a day. Insurance Co.. no longer pays for Symbicort; so my FP put me to Breo. Started Breo once a day on May 24 in the AM. Last two days have a awful feeling that I am going to throw up. Get cold chills and sweats. Last for no more than 30 seconds; but does occur again in about two hours. When it goes away, I feel find. No Problem. Cannot contact my FP due to holiday weekend. Thought you might have an answer. The PI Sheet is no help for me. Is this a known side effect of Breo and maybe will lessen the more I use it? Thank you for your help. John W. Hanna

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The Budesonide and Formoterol are known to provoke fine tremors as side effects on long term usage.

Nausea is due to possible gastritis, can be easily tackled with antacid or Proton pump inhibitor drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
