What Causes Nausea And Vomiting After Consuming Food?

I have nausea and I throw up every time I eat. I am 76 years old and tired all the time. I had open heart surgery when I was a teen. I was one of the first persons who had what was then a first time experience at UCLA. Now I am always sick at my stomach. Betty

Hi,

These seem to be a serious problem and you need to take some examinations and probably take some liquids iv in the ER to stop dehydration.

I recommend you to do some routine blood tests and an abdominal sonography and a direct abdominal X-ray.

If these show no problems and you continue with symptoms you may need an angio CT of the abdomen and a gastrohepatologist appointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anila Skenderi,
