Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Nausea And Vomiting After Exposure To Cleaning Chemical?
I was cleaning the bathroom with a Clorox product with the door open. About two hours later (after a big panic attack due to unrelated reasons) I felt so nauseous and I threw up mostly air and some stomach acid (it was foggy clear and was burning to come up). I had some water but my head still really hurts. Is there anything I can do to feel better?
Take anti emetics for nausea & vomiting, Acetaminophen for headache. Looks like you have inhaled quite a lot of toxic chemicals that has caused allergy to your skin, eyes, throat, etc. Get outdoors & breathe fresh air to nullify the effects. Keep yourself well hydrated.
Take a shower & clean yourself. Remove the toxic chemical outside your home. Open all the doors & windows of your house. If you continue to vomit, visit ER, you may need injections to stop vomiting.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
