General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank You for trusting HealthcareMagic

Stomach flu and food poisoning share many similar symptoms. However, since your symptoms are rather acute in onset (within few hours) it is more suggestive of food poisoning.
Food poisoning usually subsides within 2-3 days. Take adequate rest, drink lots of fluid, go easy on solid food and include more bland food in diet like crackers, toast etc.
If the symptoms persist after 2-3 days follow up with a primary care provider.

Hope I was able to answer your question
Please address any more concerns
