What Causes Nausea And Vomiting While On Carvedilol And Diltiazem?

Hi I am a 54 year old African American Male, I take the following medication daily (See Below), I just spent three days in the hospital for Congestive Heart Failure. I have been out of the hospital for four weeks. I have changed my diet to contain very low sodium. Every time I take my medication I get sick and have to throw up. Please tell me what s going on. I take my blood pressure two times a day and it s better than it s ever been. eg; 107/55, 100/60, 89/58. Carvedilol 6.25 MG Twice a day * Diltiazem (CD) 300/24CAP ACTAV ELIZ Once a day Doxazosin 8MG Once a day Furosemide 40 MG twice a day Isosorbide MN ER 5 MG twice a day Klor-con M20 1 tablet Once a day Atorvastatin 80 MG Generic for Lipitor once a day Metformin ER 1000MG Twice a day Micardis HCT 80MG/25MG Once a day Prilosec (Omeprazole) 20MG Once a day Androgel 1.62 Two pumps on each arm Finasteride 5MG Bayer Low Dose Aspirin 81mg Once a day Linzess 72 MCG once a day Please help

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

After consult your doctor you can take rabeprazole twice a day , tab Paracetamol twice a da. Prefer soft , light , bland , vegan diet till possible . Consume more of whole grains , cereals , pulses , legumes , organic fresh fruits . Avoid all oily , spicy , non veg , hot beverages , junk foods , carbonated drinks . Avoid over eating , prolong fasting .Avoid resting upto 2 hours after meals . Fix your timing of breakfast , lunch , dinner till possible . Avoid late night parties , dinners . Keep the head end of the bed elevated for 30 degrees when resting . Have regular walking in fresh air , exercises , YOGA . Avoid smoking , alcohol if consuming . Avoid stress , anxiety . Manage to have regular sound sleep of 8 hours . Intake of Proton pump inhibitors as Omeprazole or Pantoprazole on empty stomach 1 hour prior to lunch; antacid syrups as mylanta or others according to the advise of your doctor helps . Keep your BP , blood sugar , cholesterol , body weight under control . Later on may need ultrasound or upper GI endoscopy according to the progress .
