What Causes Nausea, Dizziness, Lower Abdominal Pain And Back Pain?

For the past 2 weeks I have been feeling nauseous, very tired, dizzy, can t sleep at night, wake up feeling like I never slept. I get this pain on my right side of my lower abdomen (a few inches diagonal from my belly button). I feel bloated, I have back pain and I am constipated. For the past few day it has gotten worse! I have lost my appetite and I feel nauseous almost all day now. I can t think of food without wanting to get sick (I have not actually thrown up) I am so tired I feel like I can t drive or work. I have changed my diet and I don t drink coffee/tea/alcohol. I don t drink milk and when I do feel good, I try to exercise. Please help! Thanks!

Hello,

Lower abdominal pain on the right side may be suggestive of appendix, gall stone, liver disease, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get blood workouts, X-ray, CT, MRI and required tests and investigations done. Your treatment (conservative, physical therapy, surgery) will depend on the pathology detected and the severity of the symptoms.

For relieve, you can take anti emetics. Take PPIs and analgesics to relieve abdominal pain. Taking Combiflam / Naproxen, one after food may be of help to reduce backache. Take food in time so that your vitals are maintained. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
