hi, my 18 months old baby girl just got nephrotic syndrome. She never had this symtom before. It happened during she had craynosynostosis surgery and we did not notice it by thinking that the swollen all over her body is from the surgery. Later, we found out that she is suffering from nephrotic syndarome. i want to know, did the stress of surgery caused nephrotic syndrome or there is any other reason that caused it.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Nephrotic syndrome can be primary or secondary to many conditions such as infections, inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. Most likely cause in this age is minimal change nephrotic syndrome and it is having excellent long time prognosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
