Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have been having unexplained bruising, and night sweats and hair loss. I recently had a CT and it shows my spleen is enlarged my bloodwork showed low iron and elevated bilirubin. I also have had irregular mental cycles and extremely heavy for thr past 2 months. Not sure what could be going on
The night sweating are associated with different types of diseases such:
- Infection (HIV, tuberculosis)
- Blood disorders (Hodgkin)
- Menopause
- Thyroid disorders, etc.
I think you can do a blood count and formula and also platelets count since you have bruising. Also test thyroid hormone levels, thyroid disorders give hair loss.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
