What Causes Night Sweats With Cold Body After Open Appendectomy?
Hello, I am a 42 year old male who had an open appendectomy 16 days ago. Everything appears to be healing well, but I am now experiencing ongoing excessive night sweats where the bed clothes are drenched (I had to change beds last night during the night with both beds soaked because of the sweating). When I wake up, although I have been sweating, I am very cold. Is this normal or anything I need to get checked out?

I really appreciate your concern and let me tell you that if this is excessive sweating during sleep at night and in my opinion this might be the sing of low hemoglobin and this need to be ruled out and for that you have to get done the hemoglobin test, here you have gone through the surgical procedure so it is equally important to examine the operative scar and region, have a nice day.
