Hello, I have just been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia and gastritis. I am only 18 years of age nearly 19. However my hiatus hernia has been causing me problems and my symptoms started happening over 4 years ago. However, only recently I have been having nose bleeds 5 -6 times a day and I do not know when they are coming on, it just happens. I was just wondering whether this can be connected? I am currently waiting to speak to my consultant about the forms of treatment but recently I also had a Quincy and was hospitalised due to not being able to breath and told I could have suffocated in my sleep, so I will be having my tonsils out on second, although since having the Quincy it has just one of my tonsil very enlarged and caused me some difficulty when eating and drinking, I m just wondering if this is normal? Many thanks.
None of this is normal. Not nosebleeds quinsy none of it. All this has to be treated. Quincy needs to be drained - urgently in fact - esp if u have associated breathing difficulties. Gastritis is inflammation - u take medication for it or are on wayfaring - likely to bleed. Also check vit b levels and bleeding time clotting time coagulation profile
