What Causes Nose Bleeding With Seizures?

my son has new onset seizures. His first seizure was Nov. 18. Until last week they have all been more than two weeks apart and short in duration. Last tuesday he seized for 12 min, that is after giving diastat three min into seizure. He had 6 seizures in one week. Thankfully he hasn t seized since monday but today his nose started bleeding with no trauma beforehand. I was wondering if the sudden nosebleed could be related to his seizures.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, 6 seizures in 1 week is alarming that something wrong in the brain may be in temporal lobe region. He may have Generaised Seizure . With repeated seizure chances of getting hurt (Blunt injury) is there.
Co morbidity has to be identified for that he may require immediate paediatrician's advice, CT, EEG evaluations. He may require long term medication to control the seizures. Take care
