I am prescribed benzonatate pearls for chronic cough. Frequently, when I take one, It will somehow become lodged in my maxillary sinus. Normally I am able to force it back into my oropharynx with a sinus rinse, but today I couldn't remove it. I have noticed some numbness, but nothing drastic. How worried should I be?
Route of food and medicine is different. Maxillary sinus does not come on way. It can be blocked in oro pharynx. Get your self checked by ENT doctor and take his advise.
