What Causes Numbness In Nose Post Cataract Surgery?

My nose has been numb since my cataract surgery July 10,2014. My eye surgeon, a neuro eye doctor, my internist, and an ENT- 2 visits each- have not come up with a cause. They want me to see another ENT. I also have not been clear-headed since this surgery. Nothing has improved or gone away. What do you think caused these problems?

Hello,

It could be due to some type of nerve injury but if it improves within 6 weeks after surgery then nothing to worry about.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Diwashish Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
