What Causes Occasional Dizziness, Sore Throat And Large Bumps Behind The Tongue?

I had unprotected vaginal sex with a transsexual man. I went for a test and the results were neg. the test was during the window phase. The person insists they are not HIV positive, I have been experiencing occasional diziness, sore throat, there are large bumps on the back of my tongue, I have also been experiencing some unintentional weight loss. It has been 3 weeks since intercourse with this person. Could I be at risk of HIV?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you are at risk for HIV since you had unprotected intercourse with an unknown person. I think you should get a full STD test including HIV at least four weeks after intercourse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
