An episode of chest discomfort with no apparent reason should be investigated. You will need to report prior smoking, diabetes, elevated cholesterol and family history of coronary artery disease. Brief, seconds of discomfort is reassuring but not a guarantee. You should contact your doctor and consider having a chest x ray and EKG.
