What Causes One Day Bleeding And Delayed Menstruation After Taking Postinor-2 Tablets?

I took two tablets of postinor 2 at the same time within 72hours of intercourse.i had that sex the very day I stopped my menstruation and the day after but I still took postinor 2, after some days I bled for only one day and now I haven t seen my period. ....I have a 21-24days circle and my last normal menstruation (apart from the one day bleeding) was on the 7th of july, please I would like to know if there is a problem?

Hi,

Your hormone levels would surely be altered when hormonal pills like postinor is used. Your body needs time to adjust to the new hormone levels, flush out the drugs and return to back to normal levels. You can wait for few more days for the drug to be completely removed from the body. Your bleeding may occur after 3 to 5 days. In some women periods would also resume normally from the next cycle.

Every one reacts differently to a drug. Meanwhile, it is also essential to rule out pregnancy in the subsequent weeks if you experience spotting or nausea or breast changes.
