What Causes Outbreak Of Lumps On The Upper Arm Despite Taking Antibiotics?
About two weeks ago I noticed a lump under my left upper arm (not pit), I went to the doctor and they put me on an antibiotic for 10 days, Eight dats have passed and there are many swollen nodes now. Should I be concerned? I went for a mammogram today.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have outbreak of lumps on the upper arm despite taking antibiotics . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like lipoma , allregic reaction , viral infection , fungal infection or bacterial infection . If they are not getting better then they can be due to allergic reaction or can be lipoma . It can also be some kind of benign growth . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist again Doctor may examine physically to check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may also order biopsy , ultrasound or x-ray to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , anti inflammatory or may recommend surgery or liposuction .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
