What Causes Ovarian Cyst And Endometrial Thickness?
Hello, I am a little confused about my ultrasounds i was sent for after an MRi for a back injury found a complex cyst on my left ovary. I went for my first on the 2nd may 2014 and the results are as follows: the left ovary contains a 36x32x32mm complex irregularly marginated cyst which contains several small peripheral internal nodular soft tissue components. This cyst does not demonstrate internal Doppler vascularity or evidence of internal fat or calcific component. Endometrial having a normal combined thickness of 6.5mm I went back to my doctor to get these results and 2 weeks and 1 day later from the 2nd May 2014 I was sent for another ultrasound. These results read: uniform endometrial measuring 7mm. The complex solid-cystic left ovarian lesion appears larger than on ultrasound 2nd May 14, measuring 48x45x30mm. There appears be vascularity within the periphery of the lesion. No free fluid. Compared tithe recent ultrasoundrasound, the left ovarian cyst appears to have increased in size and now demonstrates vascularity. Gynecological referral is recommended. I am confused and a little concerned as I don t understand what all this means and my doctor uses doctor language leaving me more confused. Please help me. I am 43 yrs old
