Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain Above The Hip Bone Radiating Upwards?
I have right lower quad pain (like if you drink water and then go for a run...a stitch in your side) just above the hip bone but radiating upward..... It is pretty constant. No issues urinating, no pain no other s/s of uti etc. Just curious if I could be growing a kidney stone or just pulled muscle where I am more active in the summer.
The symptoms can probably related to a pulled muscle. I recommend doing an ultrasound to exclude the possibility of a kidney stone. Meanwhile, I suggest using a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen three times a day to relieve the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
