What Causes Pain And Blurrness In The Eye After Removing The Contact Lenses?
i am a healthy female 32 yrs old and just took out my contacts tonight. All of a sudden, I have extreme pain in my right eye and blurry vision in that eye. I went for a recent exam and optometrist said I have Vitreous Detachment . Should I go to the E.R. for medical attention for this?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having pain and blurring of vision after removing contact lens. This indicates corneal abrasion or infection probably caused by the contact lenses. The treatment of this condition is by use of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs. This condition is not related to posterior vitreous detachment. However both the conditions require evaluation and treatment by a ophthalmologist.
Thank you
