Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

As you are a diabetic and suffering from chest pain for 4 days, I advise you to do an EKG first. If it is normal you may require a chest x-ray to rule out any infection.

Please consult your primary physician first. If EKG and Chest X-ray normal, on examination if your physician finds out that any bony or muscle tenderness is the cause of chest pain then you require pain killers for a couple of days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
