What Causes Pain And Swelling After Slipping?
My brother slipped while hiking. It did not hurt for a couple of days and then out of nowhere he is unable to put any pressure on his foot and it is swollen. It s been 10 days and our family has a history of gout but we just aren t sure of that s what he has.

Get an X-ray done as soon as possible. There is a chance of a sprain or a minor fracture. Although, definitely check your uric acid because of your family history.
