What Causes Pain And Swelling In Epididymis After Vasectomy?
Pain and a little swelling in epididymis (right side) after vasectomy. There is also occasional pain (mild) in the abdomin just above the right testicle. In day 11. Is there something I can do to help it heal (ice, heat, rest, etc.)? Can I expect it to go away or am I just going to have to manage it?
hello.. thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. pain and swelling in scrotum is most likely to be due to infection and inflammation - Epididymitis. it is a complication of vasectomy. cold compression and scrotum elevation would definitely help. pain killer or anti-inflammatory medications like diclofenac/ aceclofenac would relieve pain. I would also suggest antibiotics like Azithromycin and cefixime for about two weeks for infection. hope my answer helped. feel free to write back. thank you.
