What Causes Pain And Swelling In Jaw Bone After An Injury?

I fell a week ago during a seizure & the spot under my chin where I landed is more painful & the lump hurts to barely touch it.
Have I chipped my jaw bone or fractured the bone? If so, would an orthopedic do surgery to do some sort of repair?

Thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. The pain and swelling could be because of the impact or a fractured symphysis bone. consult a oral physician and take a radiograph like OPG to rule out fractured symphysis. If there is a fractured bone then consult a oral and maxillofacial surgeon and get it treated by placing plates and screws over the fractured bone. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
