Hey; I have had a painful knee for about 5 months, thinking it was arthritis or g possibly gout. The side of the left knee cap is a bit swollen and very painful, and cracking as I go upstairs. I have not gone to the dr. as I am thinking it is arthritis. I also have pain in both thumbs and the right large toe off and on, but knee pain is there all the time.
