What Causes Pain And Tingling Sensation From Shoulder To Fingers?
I am having increasing worse pain and tingling from my right shoulder to my thumb. It has lasted more than a week. I am a writer, so I am on my computer for long periods of time. Using the Mouse intensifies the tingling. It is not just in my wrist and hand, though. All the way up my arm. The pain seems to be from my shoulder.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Pain in the shoulder with tingling sensation in fingers could be caused due to cervical muscle sprain. If left unattended, it may land up in cervical spondylosis. Kindly get an x-ray of cervical spine done and consult Orthopedician at the earliest. If it is in early stage, it can be treated with regular analgesic and muscle relaxant drugs like Diclofenac and Chloroxazone. You can also apply pain relief gel locally on your back of the neck during bedtime. Depending on the severity, you may require physiotherapy. Also, neck exercises would give you good relief and it would strengthen the neck muscles. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
