Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have a series of weird symptoms that don’t really match each other but are all happening at the same time and have been going on for the past several weeks. I had the gastric bypass surgery two years ago and have lost about 90lbs during that time. In the past two months I have gained 15lbs back mostly due to inactivity I believe. I normally run but the winter has not been good to me. In the past few weeks I have been having severe pain off and on in the space right below my sternum sometimes to the point that it radiates to my lower ribs and makes movement unbearable. I also have very small and thin almost string stools which just started this week. I have been extremely fatigued for the past couple months. I have also seemed to have developed food allergies to pecans and something in chewing gum. They both cause my mouth to hurt and I’ve never had an issue with allergies in the past. I sometimes get little petichea on my arms but it’s pretty mild. I had some recently had a CBC, BNP, ANA, and some other inflammatory blood testing checked which were all normal except my B12 was 2000 and my red blood cell count was slightly below normal. I’ve had a ultrasound of my liver and gall bladder which was normal as well. Im at a lost for why all this is happening. I don’t know if these symptoms go together or if they are just randomly happening for no reason. Any thoughts?
