Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain From The Neck To Head On The Right Side?
I have been having pain that started in my neck and is now affecting the right side of my head. I have a high tolerance for pain but this has gotten worse over the last few months. The right side of my head just feels odd. The pain radiates from my neck up.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, you are suffering from cervical spondylitis. It is inflammation of the joints of the spine. You have to particularly take care of your posture, both during sleep and the day at work. Try not to put excess strain on your neck. You can take paracetamol for pain, but rest and hot fomentation are the best. Since the pain is quite recent, you must not need an x-ray. But if the pain becomes unbearable, or if it continues more than a week, get an x-ray with consultation.
Take care, Regards
