What Causes Pain From The Shoulder Blade To The Arm And Breast?

Hello. It has been approximately 10 weeks that I have had a pain on my shoulder blade and arm and extends to the side of my armpit and breast. The pain is not as bad as it was at the beginning. I went through physical therapy but with no results. What made a change was deep tissue massage. Unfortunately the pain is starting sgain. X-rays and CT scans have come back normal. I m very concerned.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out possible causes like tendon or ligament injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
