What Causes Pain In Abdominal Radiating To The Intestinal Area With Bowel Movement?

My 14 year old is experiencing pain, feels like a rock down center abdominal area just below breasts. She said it s then followed by pain on both sides in intestinal areas. Last two days has been constant but increase after eating and at night. She is passing gas and having bowel movements.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your 14 year old daughter having pain in center of abdomen, increases on eating and at night.
She has normal stools and no vomiting.
The typical pain your daughter has in midline which increases on eating and at night indicate that it may be due to gastritis or acid related problems like lower esophagitis.
I would advise her the following:
PPI like Omeprazole.
Antacid particularly when on empty stomach.
Soft bland diet.
No spicy and oily food.
This usually helps a lot.
In case of failure of medical management, upper GI endoscopy and further management as per the findings.
