What Causes Pain In Anus With Hiatus Hernia?

Hi, my mother is 82 and has been suffering from what she cals a throbbing in her back passage which makes her rock back and forth. She cannot sit at peace for any length of time and seems most uncomfortable although she says it is not painfull. She is 4ft 11 inches and weighs approximately 9 stones

She has a hiatus hernia and has oesteoporosis.
