What Causes Pain In Back, Shoulders And Leg Of A Person With GERD?
I have GERD and I am taking my medications, however I start to have a lot of pain in my body, specifically in my back, shoulders, and in one leg. Is this normal. I have this disease since I was 20 years old , currently I am 36, but I never had a pain like this in my body. Thank you
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in back, shoulders and leg of a person with GERD . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , helicobacter pylori , gastritis or food intolerance. Shoulder , back and leg pain can occur due to nerve injury , pinched or compressed nerve ( Sciatica ) , which may occur due to your disc bulged problem , so consult orthopedic surgeon . You should not lay down immediately after having food and avoid intake of outside food. You should go for exercise on daily basis. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order ambulatory acidity test , endoscopy , allergy test and stool test . Doctor may also you to avoid certain food like dairy products , nuts and seafood . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for h pylori along with omeprazole and antacid . For now avoid the above mention food , eat light and non spicy .
