What Causes Pain In Bladder During Urination Post Recovery From UTI?

I just finished a course of antibiotics this morning for a UTI. I continue to have bladder pain when I bend or urinate. I went to a family health doctor this morning and they retested for a UTI. The test came back clear. No UTI. He checked my kidneys by pressing on them and their was no pain in that area. Is this normal? Should I see someone else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Some of the symptoms of urinary tract infection would take certain time to be back to normal, even after the urine report says it is normal.
This is because, the tissues affected would take certain time to heal following the infection which has been treated and subsided.
Kindly drink good quantities of fluid and take a short course of multivitamin preparations, which would aid in ealy healing process and your symptoms should subside completely.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
