What Causes Pain In Cheek Bone Along With Formation Of Stye In Eye?
Hi,
I am having some difficult time with my health for the last few weeks. I had flu, then grippe and now my cheek is hurting right below cheekbone. In addition to this I have a stye started forming in my eye. I believe something very weird going on with my defence system. It has been around like 3 weeks for having these persistent flues and illnesses. Help me please, I start thinking that something serious might be going on..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain stye occurs due to blocked gland [ oil gland or sweat gland] over the eye as well as there can bacterial infection.. In case if there is no infection the stye resolve on its own while in case of infection oral and topical antibiotics and warm compresses can help.. The flu like symptoms and pain over the cheek bone can be due to sinus infection leading to Sinusitis and your need to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis. PNS view or MRI of the sinuses can help in confirming the diagnosis.. As of now you can do steam inhalations, warm compresses over the cheek, use steroid nasal sprays and take Ibuprofen for pain..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
