I have two questions i have had diarrehea for two years now. doctor told me i had polpus. i have extreme pain when getting ready to use bathroom. feels like stabbing knife pain Second question I had left eye cataract surgery after three weeks i still hurt from outside (daytime) light
The diarrhea with frequency of stool indicates intestine infection with gut flora disturbances. My guidelines for the same: - Drink more liquids to maintain hydration including oral rehydration salt, coconut water, lemon juice - Prefer easily digestible food stuffs as rice, dal, hochpoch - Avoid spices, junk foods, dairy fat, non veg if consuming - Add probiotic containing items in diet as fresh curd - Pro and pre biotics capsules, GI specific antibiotics as metronidazole or rifaximin is consideration of consultant treating you
The pain through daytime light indicates possible sensitization of new lens to sunlight, which gets accustomed over a period of time, and hence there is advise of wearing black goggles or protective eye cover during outside visit.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
