What Causes Pain In Groin And Hip After Knee Replacements?

A friend told me that she had two knee replacements. The first one caused a lot of discomfort afterwards... Then she started to have intense pain in her groin. she had x-rays and nothing was found wrong with her hip. ~A year later she had to have another procedure performed on her first knee replacement bc it was not in correct position (therapist told her this, not the surgeon). then she had severe pain in her hip and they said it was gone and she needed a hip replacement....then she was told she had a hairline fracture that was healed...she also had some metal scrapings but was told this was normal ~1 year later it was now a break AND the replacement was defective so she had to have it replaced....now they drew fluid to make sure she has no infection...and it was chocolate brown in color.
