What Causes Pain In Head Post Injury With Normal CT Scan?

I tripped and fell 12 days ago...hit left side of my head hard (point of impact was my left eyebrow bone). I passed out and lost a lot of blood. I went to ER the next day. Got CT scan (clear) and stitches. 12 days later I am still in a lot of pain the brow continues to swell. Another CT scan 3 days ago ruled out infection or puss pocket. Healing seems very slow to come. Who should I see next? A facial plastic surgeon? neurologist? wound specialist? ER has not been very helpful regarding what steps next.

Hello,

You are not taking sufficient bed rest. It seems, as said by you significant blood loss, so such wounds need rest in a sterile environment. If you go out you will be exposed to the atmosphere, which delays in wound healing process. Take absolute bed rest with soft diet & oral liquids. Please consult a neurosurgeon, if you still have the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah
