What Causes Pain In Left Scrotal With History Of Having Varicocele?

Developed left scrotal pain this evening: seems to localise to the cord which is boggier on the left than on the right. No focal tender masses, but a dull ache throughout the cord. When I lay down, it s subsided and the cord is more symmetrical, but I don t have a history of varicocele, which is a bit odd

Hi,

Left testicular pain may be due to infection, torsion or nerve compression. If you don't have associated signs of infection like fever or swelling then you must concentrate on your life style causing unknown injury or stress to scrotum such as exercises, cycling, etc. If you have this problem since just a few days then wait and observe. If this is since many days or a month, you must undergo an USG of the scrotum.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
