Thank you for asking.....I'm a white-male, self employed building inspector, married/upbeat/active 68 year old, 5ft. 9, 180lbs, have most always been in relatively good health/have some osteo in past but seems under control, have asthma-sometimes use Symbicort...I don't take any medication, am watchful of my habits, non smoker/drinker-1 glass red wine with dinner, regularly take supplements-flax/omega, Vit. D , multi-vites,...
For about the last month or so (two weeks of which we were on vacation in Hawaii), I've had an aching pain in my left shoulder and often time down my arm-muscle area and sometime the pain is also on the inside of my arm down in the area of my wrist... the pain seem most constant and often time I need to use my right hand to lift my left arm to avoid the pain...sometimes the pain varies and has all but disappeared possibly for as long as a day, and THEN, it's back again...?....an ache/pain mostly in the left arm/shoulder area....many years ago, I had a 'similar' painful experience, but it involved my clavical/shoulder blade and the pain was excruciating and lasted for about a month at that time. The doctor could only say it was possibly a viral infection and put me on medication for pain & such....& interestingly, I had the same problem but much lesser return the following 2 years at about the same season (winter), and finally dissipated. Now many years later, I'm wondering if there's any similar type of virus infection, which is why I've been postponing getting medical attention....(I have high pain tolerance...unfortunately perhaps and avoid going for medical help unless really necessary)
Your help and or suggestions any time soon would be greatly appreciated.
