my friend, 69 year old male had 4 stents put in his chest about 6 years ago. the last few months at night when he's laying on the couch, he often gets an excrutiating pain in his left leg for a few minutes. he takes a shot of nitro, then it goes away in a few minutes. what is this pain? how can it be prevented or treated?
Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly. *Pain is in relation with '' stretching '' veins where they had removed some for the graphs for heart valves & also due to scarring post-surgery. *For prevention no medicines just - regular light exercises, walking , meditations , YOGA - have sound sleep of 6-7 hours - avoid smoking / alcohol - keep BP , Blood sugar , Cholesterol , weight under control . *Treatment - analgesic as & when required . Hope this clears your query. Thanks for referring Health care magic & reviewing my answer. Welcome for any further assistance. Wishing him healthy life ahead. Regards.
