Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
yes. i have pain in my legs all the time. i say it s like a toothache. sometimes tolerable and sometimes excuriating. last few weeks on and off my right calf feels like it is knotted up and it burns. pain is unbearable. i do not run or done anything to pull a muscle.
As this pain can be due to nerve root entrapment in the lumbar spine. Sometimes the nerve is entrapped and only the particular dermatomes and myotomes are affected. So is the case for you.
I will advise to do McKenzie maneuver and see if there are any pain changes in the calf muscle.
If so then I will advise you to do regular exercise for stabilizing the spine like core stability and spinal muscle Strengthening exercises.
Also, working out for hip strengthening muscles and lower limb Strengthening like static Quadriceps and static hamstring along with ankle toe movements and straight leg raise should help improve the overall condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
