Hello,

If the pain is radiating in nature it will be related to nerve root entrapment in the lumbar spine and an MRI is suggested.

If the pain is in the joint then this will be over a period of time repetitive stress injury which happens due to overstraining of the ligament at the joints. Stabilize the knee and ankle with braces and start doing hot water fermentation along with joint stability exercises.

With the exercises, there will be a change in the overall joint stability and muscle strength, which will help avoid the inflammation of the joints.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
